Learning and Leading with Technology is the flagship magazine of the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE), in publication since the 1970s. Roland, the magazine's former senior editor, presents her 50 choices for the best articles discussing the use of technology in education from the last five years. The articles are organized under either format or topic headings, and include issue oriented pieces, point/counterpoint, features, technology in specific disciplines, IT, research connections, media in education, project-based learning, profiles of ISTE members, and product reviews. Specific topics include equity in educational technology practice, the question of whether the goal of K-12 education is to produce employees or learners, the challenge of addressing appropriate technology behavior, copyright issues, teacher-to-teacher IT mentoring, blogging, language learning through technology, and the connected classroom. Comments from the editor and updates from the original authors supplement the articles. Annotation 穢2009 Book News, Inc., Portland, OR (booknews.com)
