Sustainability is one of the great problems facing food production today. Using cross-disciplinary perspectives from international scholars working in social, cultural and biological anthropology, ecology and environmental biology, this volume brings many new perspectives to the problems we face. Iain Young is the Deputy Director of Studies in the University of Liverpool School of Medicine. He has a PhD in Muscle Physiology and Biomechanics from the University of Leeds. His research is broadly associated with sustainable food and agriculture, health and nutrition.
